The art work that always makes me smile are the pieces that are wore, used & damaged. To hang up a painting is a sign of respect, to use a piece of art is a form of love. That's why all of my creations have the will to be used. I make chess boards, boxes, t-shirts, but please, never put my art work on a wall to be untouched. My mediums are mostly acrylic paint on wood, or ink on cardboard. Wood is always preferred because I will use the natural knots and grain to shape my concept, and that nature itself should push back against the assumed blank canvas.
